SITE REPORT NO 1

Dear Blog viewers,

You wouldn't believe it but these little creatures nearly heald up our site start!

In order to protect the newts on our site we needed a licence from Natural England. It finally came on the 17 July and the first operation for Kier Moss the contractor when they started on 25 July was to install a newt protection fence all around the site

The contractor then set up cabins and began work demolishing the temporary buildings and stripping the site of topsoil

Work continues protecting the wildlife on the site - The ecologist is putting up bat boxes

and what we call 'newt hotels' (there is a more formal name!) are being built. These are places where any newts found can be safely relocated.

The site manager is Justin Neale - looks good so far!
